Who Are ‘We’?
This website is operated by Woodwork Workshop and we are the ‘data controller’ for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, (i.e we are responsible for, and control the processing of, your personal information).
The term ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’ refers to the owner of the website: Woodwork Workshop, registered and operates from……… The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website.
This privacy policy sets out how we at Woodwork Workshop use & protect any information that you provide us when you use our website.
We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected at all times. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.
What Personal Data Do We Collect?
Personal data means any information capable of identifying an individual. It does not include anonymised data.
When you contact us via the website, email, or telephone – and particularly if you purchase any of our services – we may collect certain types of personal data about you as follows:

- Transaction Data- may include details about payments between us for bookings.

Sensitive data – refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data.
Where we are required to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of the contract between us and you do not provide us with that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract. If you don’t provide us with the requested data, we may have to cancel a product or service you have ordered but if we do, we will notify you at the time.

Our website has tracking software installed which allows us to view our visitors via Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a service provided by Google which allows us to view who has visited our website & when. This service does not reveal any personal information about our clients, it simply shows us, in a set period, how many people have visited our website, which town or city they have come from, what search term they used to find us, what type of device was used in their session & what language they speak. No personal information such as name, address or contact information is collected.
Use Of Cookies
A cookie is a small text file which is placed onto your computer (or other electronic device) when you use our website. We use cookies and other similar tracking technologies such as Google Analytics on our website.
For example, we may monitor how many times you visit the website, which pages you go to, traffic data, location data and the originating domain name of a user’s internet service provider. This information helps us to build a profile of our users. Some of this data will be aggregated or statistical, which means that we will not be able to identify you individually.

a. Identify you and keep a record of workshop use & periods of hire;
b. Process your order;
c. Conduct research, statistical analysis and behavioural analysis;
d. Carry out customer profiling and analyse your purchasing preferences;
e. If you agree, let you know about other products or services that may be of interest to you;
f. Detect and prevent fraud;
g. Notify you of any changes to our website or to our services that may affect you; and
h. Improve our services.
Further Communication
We would very occasionally like to keep you up to date with any important news or changes which may be of interest to someone who’s either hired the Workshop before, or shown an interest in doing so.
We will ask whether you would like us to send you this information when you first send an enquiry. There will be a box upon sign up that you need to tick to give us permission. If you do not wish to receive this information from us then you should not click the box at all.

Who Your Data Might Be Shared With
We will never share, sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes without your prior consent.
Some of our service providers may have access to your data in order to perform services on our behalf, for example during payment processing. We only allow such third parties to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions. They will not use your data for anything other than the clearly defined purpose relating to the service that they are providing.

How We Protect & Store Your Data
We have put in place security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, altered, disclosed, or accessed without authorisation. We also allow access to your personal data only to those employees and partners who have a business need to know such data. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they must keep it confidential.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
When deciding what the correct time is to keep the data for we look at its amount, nature and sensitivity, a potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the processing purposes, if these can be achieved by other means and legal requirements.
For tax purposes, the law requires us to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they stop being customers.
In some circumstances, we may anonymise your personal data for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive or refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you.
